Wild Dolphin Journeys in Costa Rica
Cheri was blessed in February of 2009 to have been invited to participate in a Dolphin Drumming Adventure with Wild Dolphin Journeys! A blissful alliance was instantly formed with Marta and Craig who have been doing t his wonderful and powerful work for several years now on the Osa Peninsula working with dolphin specialists, marine biologists and locals in the community who are concerned about preserving the marine environment! Why do dolphins and whales respond to the drums?
My experience has been that animals respond to our energetic level. Interspecies communication using rhythm is really unique and profound. Add the attitude of gratitude and you have a recipe for bliss.
Language is the mode of communication that we humans use most as well as body language etc. Music and rhythm are a universal language so it makes logical sense that it is a perfect bridge to communicate on a deeper level to other species. After all it is really our energetic level that conveys so much more than our words.
Dolphins live in pods so they responded to our little pod of drummers. Horses are herd animals and also have a “pod” consciousness. ( re: Drumming for horses )
Our world is so rich with unexplored territory. Perhaps we should drum for the bees and ants who also have a less individualized consciousness than we do."
2010 Dolphin Muse Adventure:
The 2010 Wild Dolphin Journey will include live music, lots and lots of drumming and music making, an all night fire ceremony, yoga, workshops and a possible concert with some great musicians who will be in the area!

Costa Rica Retreats & Winter Warmth
Cheri will be in Costa Rica from November thru April of 2010 and will be offering programs, community music jams and retreats in Costa Rica while working on the continued development of Selva Armonia.
Selva Armonia is accepting a limited number of volunteers for the winter season. If you are interested in volunteering with us to help with the gardens, the land, etc. email Cheri or Josh thru the Selva Armonia website.
